Little Raccoon by L. Moore

A simple children's story where as an adult struggling to "improve oneself", one finds another level of meaning and wisdom.

Little Raccoon was taught by other forest animals to be afraid of his own reflection in the moonlit pond. He would try and threaten the One in the Pond with angry grimaces, a stone, and a stick, only to become more terrified. So mom tells him to go back and smile to the One in the Pond.

World is a miserable place when you are at war with yourself. Some of us use old-fashioned sticks to beat ourselves up. Others are true experts and use high-precision long-distance missiles. What are your weapons?

Russians made a cartoon about Little Raccoon. English subtitles available.
